An initial pleat filter G4 is a low-efficiency, disposable air pre-filter designed to capture larger particles like dust and fibers (?5µm) with high dust-holding capacity and low air resistance. Its pleated design increases the filter media's surface area for better airflow and longer life, protecting downstream, more efficient filters and equipment. It features a rigid frame (cardboard, aluminum, or galvanized iron) and is suitable for general applications such as HVAC systems, pre-filtration in cleanrooms, and industrial facilities.
Purpose & Efficiency
Pre-filtration
: Its primary role is to remove larger airborne particles, such as dust, pollen, dander, and fibers, before they reach more efficient, finer-particle filters.
G4 Standard
: G4 refers to a primary filtration efficiency rating, meaning it captures particles in the range of 5 to 10 micrometers with a high efficiency, according to the EN779 standard.

Featuring high dust-holding capacity and low air pressure drop, this pleated filter has more surface areas for trapping airborne contaminants than other types of filters. They are commonly installed in HVAC systems as prefilters or secondary filters in hospitality, education, food, industrial or commercial facilities with medium filter efficiency. They can also be used at the inlet or return air vent of HVAC for cleanrooms.
These filters withstand temperatures up to 80°C and are highly waterproof. With metal frames, they are easy to change or dispose of.
